Let me explain a little about the two types of home inspectors. One I call the “Quick and Slick.” A couple of guys run through the home in about 40 minutes - call you in for the summary and email you a report the next day. Their price is a little less than average and their selling point is “quicker inspection time.” Typically you’ll be pressured to buy additional services – at the inspection. They are “quick” when doing the inspection and “slick” with sales tactics. At the beginning it looks like you’re getting a cheaper inspection but in the end you’ll be higher than the average. You do get what you pay for.

The other type of inspectors I call “True Blue.” They do a thorough inspection with plenty of time allowed for questions and teaching. “True Blue” inspectors don’t use “scare tactics” to get you to buy more services. “True Blue” inspectors love what they do and it shows. Many of them would do it for free if they could figure out a way to stay open! They are “True” to the high standards set out by American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and faithful or, “Blue” to their customers with integrity, honesty and truth.

I’m definitely in the “True Blue” bunch. I allow only two inspections per day. With my lower overhead I keep competitive prices and never do “add on” sales. I complete a thorough inspection using my 30 years of experience to your advantage. You’ll have your report in hand before I leave. And – I’ll answer any home related questions you have for FREE for as long as you live in that home. That’s saying something.
